Meet Our Team

Dr. Everett Robert is a native New Orleanian practicing Neurosurgery at Southern Brain & Spine since 2010. Dr. Robert received his undergraduate degree from Tulane University and obtained his medical degree from Louisiana State University in New Orleans.

Dr. Manish Singh is a board-certified neurosurgeon who joined Southern Brain & Spine in 2018. He completed his residency in Neurosurgery at Tulane University in New Orleans.

Dr. Derrick Umansky is a board-certified and fellowship-trained neurosurgeon dedicated to providing exceptional care to his patients. Dr. Umansky graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Georgia and subsequently completed his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia, where he was amongst the top of his class.

Dr. Rand Voorhies is a cofounding member of Southern Brain & Spine in 2006, in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Dr. Voorhies graduated with honors from Tulane School of Medicine in 1976 and completed his residency in Neurosurgery at the Weill-Cornell campus of the New York Presbyterian Medical Center in 1982.

Dr. Kevin Martinez is an Interventional Pain Management physician at Southern Brain & Spine. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University and Louisiana State University School of Medicine.

Kristy Charbonnet is a dedicated and compassionate nurse practitioner with an impressive career at Southern Brain & Spine, where she has been an integral part of our medical team since 2006.

Janell Stark is a dedicated and compassionate family nurse practitioner with an impressive career at Southern Brain & Spine, where she has been an integral part of the medical team since 2007.

Craig Wills is a dedicated and compassionate certified physician assistant with an impressive career at Southern Brain & Spine, where he has been an integral part of the medical team since 2010. He was born and raised in the New Orleans area and is a graduate of Brother Martin High School.
